MERIDIAN —
Mike and Kathy Thompson of Fayetteville, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Jane, to Joseph Michael Green, son of Lillian Green and the late Larry Green of Huntsville, Ala.
The wedding will be Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at 4:30 p.m., at Riverbend Event Center in Fayetteville.
Ms. Thompson is the granddaughter of Pauline Thompson and the late Bill Thompson, and Nora Cartwright and the late Joe Cartwright, all of Fayetteville.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University.
Ms. Thompson is employed by Verizon Wireless in Huntsville.
Mr. Green is the grandson of Joseph C. and Martha E. Green of York, Ala., and the late Abram A. and Jane Hinson of Linden, Ala.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Mississippi State University, where he received a degree in aerospace engineering. He is also a graduate of Meridian High School.
Mr. Green is employed by Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville.
A reception will be held at Riverbend Event Center.
