MERIDIAN —
John and Ute Estes of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Wende Leigh, to Calvin Rushing Mayatt, son of Jack and Jana Mayatt of Collinsville and Marc and Candi Dunlap of Meridian.
The wedding will be Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 6 p.m., at Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church.
Miss Estes is the granddaughter of Virgie Leigh Estes and the late Steven Latap Estes of Mobile, Ala., and Friedlinde Webb and the late Howard Webb of Harrisville, Utah.
The bride-elect received a bachelor of science degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from Mississippi State University. She is also a graduate of West Lauderdale High School.
While attending MSU, she was a member of the American Marketing Association.
Miss Estes is employed by MUNA Federal Credit Union as marketing director.
Mr. Mayatt is the grandson of Nell Mayatt and the late Jack Mayatt Sr. of Collinsville and Shirley and Sonny Palmer of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Mississippi State University. He is also a graduate of Northeast High School.
While attending MSU, he was a member of the ASCE organization.
Mr. Mayatt is employed by Premier Builders as a civil engineer.
A reception will be held at Briarwood Country Club.
