Pedro Ernesto Antunes and Katia Antunes Dos Santos of Recife, Brazil announce the engagement of their daughter, Tathiane Dos Santos Antunes to Matthew Taylor Flint, son of Alan and Rita Flint of Meridian.
The ceremony will be Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at 5 p.m. at Jones Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Ms. Antunes is the granddaughter of Cory Antunes and the late Lidia Antunes and Lucia Santos and the late Joel Santos, all of Brazil.
The bride-elect attended Wilmington University. She is a graduate of Holy Family High School in Recife and attended Southeast Lauderdale High School as an exchange student.
Ms. Antunes is employed by Rush Foundation Hospital.
Mr. Flint is the grandson of Trudy Flint and the late Raymond H. Flint, Elois Godeaux and the late William A. Taylor and Joe Godeaux, all of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect attended Meridian Community College. He is a graduate of Meridian High School.
Mr. Flint is employed at A-1 Glass Company.
A reception will be held at The Meridian Little Theatre.
