MERIDIAN —
Mr. and Mrs. James Harrison Swartzfager III of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Louise, to Walter Richard Davis III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Richard Davis Jr. of Dallas, Texas.
The wedding will be Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at 6:30 p.m., at Trinity Episcopal Church in New Orleans.
Miss Swartzfager is the granddaughter of Mrs. Louise McKinnon and the late Mr. Jack McKinnon of Meridian, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip M. Swartzfager of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in education. She is also a graduate of Lamar School.
While attending U of A, she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.
Miss Swartzfager is employed by St. Anthony Charter School in Dallas, as a middle school teacher.
Mr. Davis is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Richard Davis of Dallas, and Mrs. LaDelle Ross and the late Mr. Ralph Louis Ross of Dallas.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a degree in finance. He is also a graduate of Highland Park High School.
While attending LSU, he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.
Mr. Davis is employed by Centergy Retail Development.
A reception will be held at Latrobe’s on Royal.
