Harris, Sciple

MERIDIAN —

    Joey and Liz Harris of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Jasmine, to Christopher Sciple, son of Bobby and Melinda Sciple of Scooba.

    The wedding will be Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at 5 p.m., at Scooba Presbyterian Church.

    Miss Harris is the granddaughter of Ken Dueitt and the late Dzintra Dueitt of Gulfport, and Danny and Faye Allen of Stonewall.

    The bride-elect graduated from Mississippi State University-Meridian with a degree in secondary education. She is also a graduate of Lamar School.

    While attending MSU-Meridian, she was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Delta Kappa and the Student Council.

    Miss Harris plans to pursue a career in teaching and return to school to earn her master’s degree in educational counseling.

    Mr. Sciple is the grandson of Hortense McMurtry and the late John T. McMurtry of Scooba, and Ralph and Dean Sciple of DeKalb.

    The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of East Mississippi Community College, where he received a vocational certificate in the basic electrical lineworker program. He is also a graduate of Kemper Academy.

    Mr. Sciple is employed by Mathis Trucking, Collinsville.

    A reception will be held at Hamasa Shriners in Marion.

    Family and friends are invited to attend.
