Lee, Lauderdale

MERIDIAN —

    Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Randall Kornegay of Woodstock, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Michele Lee, to James Abner Lauderdale IV, son of Dr. and Mrs. James A. Lauderdale III of Meridian. Miss Lee is also the daughter of the late Brandon Keith Lee of Samantha, Ala.

    The wedding will be Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at 6 p.m., at First Baptist Church of Meridian.

    Miss Lee is the granddaughter of Mrs. James Alton Smith Sr. and the late Mr. Smith of Eutaw, Ala., the late James Marcus McLelland Sr. of Gainesville, Ala, Mrs. Stancel Reynolds Lee and the late Mr. Lee of Samantha and Mr. and Mrs. Terrell Carthell Kornegay of Woodstock, Ala.

    The bride-elect is a graduate of the University of West Alabama, where she received an associate’s degree in nursing. She is also a graduate of West Blocton High School.

    While attending UWA, she was a member of Phi Mu sorority.

    Miss Lee is employed by DCH Regional Medical Center Emergency Department in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

    Mr. Lauderdale is the grandson of Mr. Robert Frederick Stanton and the late Mrs. Stanton of Monticello, Fla., and the late Dr. and Mrs. James A. Lauderdale Jr. of Meridian.

    The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Mississippi State University, where he received a bachelor of business administration degree. He is also a graduate of Lamar School.

    While attending MSU, he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

    Mr. Lauderdale is employed by Glass Incorporated in Foley, Ala.

    A reception will be held at Soule’ Steam Feed Works.
