Joe and Sue Dampeer of Cuba, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Sue, to Billy Ray Litchfield, son of Billy H. and Judy Litchfield of Lauderdale and Wanda Litchfield of Meridian.
The wedding is slated for Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at 2 p.m., at Siloam Baptist Church in Cuba.
Miss Dampeer is the granddaughter of the late William H. and Mary P. Bradley of Pearl and the late James V. and Wanzie Dampeer of Canton.
The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of the University of West Alabama, where she received an associate’s degree in nursing. She is also a 2004 graduate of Sumter Academy.
Miss Dampeer is employed as a registered nurse at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Litchfield is the grandson of Charles W. and Dorothy McMullan and the late Ansel D. and Thelma Litchfield, all of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect is a 2000 graduate of Clarkdale High School.
Mr. Litchfield is employed as a dental lab tech at Winstead Dental Lab.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony.
