MERIDIAN —
Greg and Cathy Ray of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Ann,
to Lawson Boyd Conoly, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Conoly of Bainbridge, Ga.
The wedding will be Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at 2 p.m., at Grace Church in Bainbridge, Ga.
Miss Ray is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Ray of Meridian, the late Mrs. Patricia O’Connor of Meridian and Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. O’Connor of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.
The bride-elect graduated in May 2012 with an associate’s degree in nursing from Bainbridge College. She is also a 2010 Home School High School honors graduate in Bainbridge.
While attending Bainbridge College, she was a member of the Bainbridge Association of Nursing Students, Mu Alpha Theta honorary math society and Phi Theta Kappa honor society.
Miss Ray is employed as a registered nurse at John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Ga.
Mr. Conoly is the grandson of Mrs. Katherine Conoly and the late Mr. Julian Conoly of Faceville, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. David Blackburn and Ms. Deloris Blackburn of Hosford, Fla.
The bridegroom-elect is a 2008 graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College with a degree in agricultural sciences. He is also a 2004 honors graduate of Bainbridge High School.
Mr. Conoly is self employed as a farmer.
A reception will be held at the church's fellowship hall immediately following the ceremony.
