MERIDIAN —
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Lee Powell of Butler, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lara Ellen, to Ryan Patrick Locke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Wayne Locke of Alexander City, Ala.
The wedding will be Saturday, May 25, 2013, in Ward, Ala.
The bride-elect is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a bachelor of science degree in human environmental sciences.
Miss Powell is employed by Peak Campus Management in Atlanta, Ga., as a regional marketing specialist for the East Coast.
The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor of science degree in social science education from Troy University, and is currently working toward a master’s degree in sports management.
Mr. Locke is employed as the offensive line coach for the Cumberland University football team in Lebanon, Tenn.
