Mr. and Mrs. William Robert Rush of Byram announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Erin, to Kelly Justin Mayo of Quitman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Harley Mayo of Meridian and Helen Boykin Mayo of Arkansas.
The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at 5 p.m., at Alta Woods Baptist Church in Jackson.
Dr. Rush is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emmit E. Wilson of Hazelhurst, Mr. and Mrs. William A. Rush of Jackson, and Mr. and Mrs. Billy T. Ainsworth of Vicksburg.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she received her doctorate of veterinary medicine.
Dr. Rush is currently employed as an associate veterinarian at Randall Veterinary Hospital in Byram.
Mr. Mayo is the grandson of Cora Cooper of Butler, Ala., and the late Dewey and Nellie Mayo of Quitman.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Mississippi State University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in poultry science.
Mr. Mayo is currently employed as a poultry service technician at Marshall Durbin in Waynesboro.
A reception will be held in the Forestry Building at the Agricultural Museum.
