Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Pleasants of Lepanto, Ark. announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Annis, to David Marshall Gilmore Jr., son of Dr. and Mrs. David Marshall Gilmore of Meridian.
The couple will exchange vows at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Donovan Pavilion in Vail, Colo., with a reception to follow.
Miss Pleasants is the granddaughter of Mrs. W. H. Cross Sr. and the late Mr. Cross of Lepanto, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Floyd B. Pleasants of Memphis, Tenn.
The bride-elect is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and East Poinsett County High School.
While attending the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
Miss Pleasants is currently co- owner of Vintage Magnolia in Vail.
Mr. Gilmore is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Walter Marshall Gilmore of Meridian and Mr. and Mrs. Greyson M. Cummings Jr. of Greenville.
Mr. Gilmore is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and Lamar High School.
While attending Ole Miss, he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
Mr. Gilmore is currently employed by Vail Mountain Lodge.
