Evans, Posey

MERIDIAN —     Ms. Lisa Spears Evans of Collinsville and Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Evans of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Veronica Dyann, to Austin Langford Posey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Timmie Simmons and Mr. and Mrs. Al Posey, both of Philadelphia.

    The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at 4 p.m., at The Cole House Bed and Breakfast in Philadelphia.

    Miss Evans is the granddaughter of Ms. Dyann Spears and the late Mr. Mike Spears of Collinsville, and Ms. Mary Helen Evans and the late Mr. George Evans of Sebastopol.

    The bride-elect received an associate’s degree in nursing from Meridian Community College in 2010. She is a 2007 honors graduate of West Lauderdale High School. She plans to pursue a master’s degree in nursing.

    Miss Evans is employed by Anderson Regional Medical Center as a neonatal registered nurse.    

    Mr. Posey is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph D. Morgan of Heidelberg, and the late Mr. and Mrs. G.A. “Sleepy” Posey of Philadelphia.

    The bridegroom-elect is a 2003 graduate of Philadelphia High School. He attended East Central Community College.

    Mr. Posey is employed by the city of Meridian as a firefighter.

    A reception will immediately follow the ceremony.

    Following a honeymoon in Key West, the couple will reside in Philadelphia.
