    Here's a look at upcoming programs and events at Meridian's city, county, private and faith-based schools:    



     • Today-Friday – Third Nine Weeks Common Assessments, MPSD students in grades third through 12th will take the third nine weeks common assessments.

     • Friday – Crestwood Elementary School Behavior Bash: Beach Party, 1 p.m., Cafetorium

     • Friday – Magnolia Middle Students vs. Teachers Basketball Game,1:30 p.m., Gym

     • Friday – Parkview Elementary School Hershey Day (A Virtual Field Trip), Parkview Snoopy Center. Students will take a virtual field trip to Hershey, Pa., where they will walk through the museum, see the packaging process in the factory, take a ride on the roller coaster, get their picture taken in a photo booth, and they will receive a package of chocolate from the Hershey store.

     • Friday – West Hills Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS) Party

    • Thursday – Continuing Education: Mental Health First Aid, from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

     • Thursday – Dimensions 10-Year Anniversary Dinner Show, 6:30 p.m., MCC Multi-Purpose Building. Tickets: Toni Devaney, (601) 484-8814.

     • Thursday – MCC Continuing Education Class, In the Kitchen with Mark Chandler, 6 p.m.

     • Friday – Junior High School Math Competition, 8 a.m., Banquet Room, Montgomery Hall. Information: Will Davidson, (601) 484-8667.



    Here's a look at upcoming programs and events at area community colleges and universities:



    • Thursday – 11th Annual Business, Education and Healthcare Expo, from 9:30 a.m.-11a.m., Brackeen-Wood Physical Education Building, East Central Community College in Decatur.

    • March 27-28 – "Senior Days," East Central Community College. Open to area high school seniors, activities begin with registration in Huff Auditorium at 9 a.m. and end with a complimentary lunch at noon. 

    All campus clubs and organizations will have information booths set up in the Brackeen-Wood Physical Education Building and advisors from academic, career, technical and healthcare programs will be available.
