Services for Alva “Rony” Newman will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Tom M. Wages Funeral Home Chapel in Lawrenceville, Ga..Burial will be in Gwinnett Memorial Park Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Newman, 75, of Enterprise, died Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Regency Hospital. He served in the U.S. military.
He is survived by his wife, Patt Newman; daughter, Shelli Newman; stepson, Tommy Fowler; and three grandsons, Wesley, Bryan and Bradley Fowler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Vertie Newman; and brothers, Jimmy and Tommy Newman.
Visitation will be today, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., at James F. Webb Funeral Home in Meridian, and Tuesday, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., at Tom M. Wages Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.
