Randy Houser’s ‘Anything Goes’ featured as iTunes Discovery Download

Special to The Star

Up-and-coming singer-songwriter Randy Houser brings a thrilling new sound to country music with the Universal Records South release Tuesday of his first album, Anything Goes.  The album takes its title from the song that so impressed David Letterman when he first heard it on satellite radio that he personally arranged to have Houser sing it on The Late Show.

Seldom has a debut project generated such pre-release excitement.

Houser's album has been selected as an iTunes Discovery Download, which highlights a different album every Tuesday.  And starting this week,  iTunes customers will be offered a free download of the "Anything Goes" single, which is already in the Top 20.

All the other songs on the album—eight of which Houser co-wrote—are equally bewitching.  With his intense, fiery delivery and soulful sense of urgency, Houser is simply one of the most compelling and believable voices in country music today.

Anything Goes was co-produced by Mark Wright and Cliff Audretch III.

  • SOPA ...What is it good for? Absolutely nothing. Say it again …

Anyone who uses a computer these days should know at least a little bit about the House and Senate proposals, SOPA and PIPA, which are desperately trying to be passed by the government as you read this. If not, put this paper down right now and go do a little research on how it may affect your internet accessibility, constitutional rights and future technological access as well as who is really behind it all.
