MERIDIAN —
Bellydancing queens of Meridian, the Queen City Gypsies, will celebrate their 10 year anniversary on Saturday, June 9, in the Temple Theater Ballroom.
Show time is 7 p.m., and an "Improve Your Improv" Workshop will be held earlier in the day, 2 p.m.-4 p.m.
Special guest Petite Jamilla with Bellydance Superstars will conduct the workshop and will be part of the celebration with her hometown troupe Sirqus of Jreams.
Several other dancers from different states also will showcase their talent. Tickets for the show are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased through the Queen City Gypsies website at queencitygypsies.com. For table reservations, of eight to a table, or more information email qcgakasha@aol.com.
"Improve Your Improv" Workshop tickets also may be purchased through the Queen City Gypsies website. A $50 early bird price is good through May 25. Beginning May 26 the price will be $60. Workshop participants have an option to perform in the show that evening.
