MERIDIAN —
The International Singing Brakeman's Association's Salute to the Father of Country Music, Jimmie Rodgers, begins today and continues through May 26.
Admission is $10 daily or $25 for the week's events, all located in the Hospitality Room of the Best Western on South Frontage Road in Meridian.
Each day of the tribute includes "Jammin,'" 2 p.m.-6 p.m. with Theola Grayson, Tinker Fraizer and all the TISBA Troopers. Here's the scheduled evening entertainment:
• Sunday, May 20 — Don Massey & The Dixie Ramblers from Newton (fingerfoods available).
• Monday, May 21 — Crossroads from Lake (fingerfoods available).
• Tuesday, May 22 — Gospel Night featuring The Barncastles (supper night).
• Wednesday, May 23 — Rick McWilliams from Meridian ((fingerfoods available).
• Thursday, May 24 — Bill and Vicki Sky from Nashville, Tenn., Jack Harper of Leland, and Wayne Gray (fingerfoods available).
• Friday, May 25 — Benny and Linda Davis from Columbus (fingerfoods available).
• Saturday, May 26 — Wood & Fire from Pachuta, Patsy and Robert Breeland and others.
