Major Boos retired after serving 24 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Schnetzler, who has served as the squadron's executive officer for two years, took over command. Schnetzler was commissioned in May 2003 after graduating with a bachelor's degree in economics from the U.S. Naval Academy.
