Keep Meridian/Lauderdale County Beautiful Coordinator Sharon Smith shows one of the Halloween treat bags KAB has delivered to city and county schools and daycare facilities this week. The commission purchased more than 5,000 bags for distribution to students in K-second grades as a fun way to promote their anti-litter message. "Let's Keep it Clean on Halloween," is the theme and Smith reminds area trick-or-treaters to not litter on Halloween by placing candy wrappers in the Earth-friendly plastic bags. Bags are available through the KAB office, which is located in the Arts District Parking Garage in downtown Meridian. For more information, call (601) 485-1996.
