School Lunch Week

Meridian Public Schools Food Service Manager Donna Freyaldenhoven, left, greets State Rep. Wilbert Jones at the Kate Griffin Building during school lunch week festivities. Jones joined nearly two dozen community friends of education for school lunch. The Meridian Public Schools Food Service Program employs 96 people, serves an average of 2,832 breakfast meals and ,5354 lunch meals daily. National School Lunch Week is celebrated annually during October.
