Body found

MERIDIAN — The body of a black male was discovered at about 4:30 p.m. by a person walking along Gallagher Creek. According to Meridian Police Department Public Information Officer, Mike Vick, MPD detectives don't have any reason at this point to suspect foul play is involved with the death. Vick said as soon as the next of kin are notified the body will be sent for an autopsy. Vick said the location of the discovery was near Royal Road between 38th Avenue and 39th Avenue.
