Rhonda and Mark Bilbro from Pelahatchie prepare to take the National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) First Responder certification at Meridian Community College’s Career Development Center. In the past year, 85 people have taken the national certified exam at the college. The couple, members of the Leesburg Volunteer Fire Department, came to MCC because it was the closest testing site available in the state. MCC’s Career Development Center is an authorized IT testing site for Prometric, PearsonVue and Certiport offering certifications in Microsoft, CompTIA, Novell, Cisco, IC3 and MOS. In addition, Professional licensures through ACT, Lasergrade, Promissor and PearsonVUE include ASWB, Registered Dietitian, FAA, ICC, Danb, AMT and the NREMT. The center also offers the EPA 608 certification in HVAC. For more information call (601 484-8724.
