M.L. "Buddy" Coleman and Joyce Kelley Coleman celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009. The couple were married on Aug. 29, 1944. in Mobile, Ala. The Colemans have three children: Connie Davis Flory and her husband, Dr Joe Flory, of Radford Va., Lauderdale County Judge Frank Coleman and his wife, Donna, of Meridian and Dr. Woodward "Woodie" L. Coleman and his wife, Susan, of San Antonio,Texas; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The Colemans chose Meridian as their home after living in six states over the 20-year span of Mr. Coleman's career in life insurance. The couple are longtime active members of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church. Buddy has been involved in numerous business ventures in Meridian while Joyce has been a volunteer at Rush Foundation Hospital for more than 30 years.
