60th anniversary

The children of the Rev. Wallace R. Terry Jr. and Apphia G. Terry of Bailey announce their parents’ 60th wedding anniversary. The Terrys were married on Aug. 25, 1949, in Wilmington, Del., at First Central Presbyterian Church. On Sunday, Aug. 3, 2009, The couple were honored with an anniversary luncheon at the Doubletree Hotel in Atlanta, Ga., hosted by their children and their respective families. Mr. and Mrs. Terry have seven children, 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Mr. Terry, who was born and reared in Bailey, pastored Southern Methodist churches from 1949 until his retirement in 2000. Mrs. Terry is a retired high school and college teacher, who was born in Amelia, Ohio, and reared in Buffalo, N.Y. Your children are deeply grateful to God for your exemplary lives, your ministry and service to Him and your legacy of love and commitment.
