Jesse Winston "Buddy" Price and Emma Lou Burt will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Monday, Aug. 3, 2009. The couple were joined in holy matrimony on Aug. 3, 1949, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Meridian by the Rev. Duncan Hobart. The Prices, who reside in Toomsuba, have three children: Jesse Alan Price and his wife, Janet, Jeffery Burt Price and his wife Jan, all of Toomsuba, and, Lu Ann Price Frey and her husband, Toby of Sheridan, Wyo.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. Price is retired from Mississippi Power Co. and Mrs. Price is retired from the Mississippi State Employment Service.
